What is The Conference? 

The Conference is a one-day FREE online event that is dedicated to empowering mamas to start and scale a side-hustle. The Conference will be streamed LIVE to a private group on Facebook and it will be available to be watched on our website for 30 days after the event.

We have moms who are also successful entrepreneurs sharing their knowledge in 30-minute session with live Q&A at the end of each talk to help you get your idea off the ground.

When is The Conference? 

Our event starts at 9AM ET on May 15th and runs until 4PM ET.

All presentations will be streamed Live at their scheduled time and recordings will be available for 30 after The Conference ends.

Laura and Josie Cannone are actual sisters who became known as The GG Sisters after they co-founded The Glama Gal Kids Spa in 2006. They started their entrepreneurial journey out of their parent’s basement, with an $80 investment in some children’s bathrobes, nail polish, and bath bombs. Today Glama Gal Kids Spa is a well-known brand, with multiple franchised locations across Ontario and growing.

With their business growing and thriving, in 2016 these two sisters saw a need to share the real behind scenes look at the life of franchisors, entrepreneurs, and moms. Laura and Josie created The GG Sisters social media channels, showing followers glimpses of their daily family and entrepreneur life.

In 2019 Laura & Josie took all of their entrepreneurial knowledge, customer service acumen,
and social media savviness, and launched The GG Media Group, and GG YOU-niversity
Community, which is a multifaceted social media and entrepreneurial support system that
offers online and in-person workshops, as well as a private online community for

Laura and Josie have been sought after speakers and have shared their knowledge at multiple conferences, events, and workshops, including Blissdom Canada, Mom Boss Brunch, and The Mompreneur Conference. Whether it is learning the newest social media trends and how to execute them for business, or tips for a family game night at the cottage, the GG Sisters strive to be a trusted source of advice and leadership for both parents and entrepreneurs.

Laura Kelly

Host + Business Coach


Laura Kelly is the host of You Might Not Like It, the podcast that breaks rules and adds fuel to the fire. She is also a business coach for the already motivated, and a top wedding photographer in Ottawa, Canada. She's a functioning reality tv addict, a mom of two, and wife to her high school sweetheart!


The podcast began as a way to share coffee with more than just one person at a time, but it has quickly evolved into a place where women can find inspiration without a side of BS and fake enthusiasm. Laura is always searching for ways to improve her work/life balance (in between episodes of Vanderpump Rules, of course.)

Emily Harrington

Emily Harrington is an entrepreneur, blogger, and mom of two. She owns Millennial Boss Moms, a blog focused on supporting working moms and mom entrepreneurs and is an incoming partner with Rise Mama. Emily is a huge advocate for women who want to have a career, and is well versed on the subject of babies in the workplace as she has involved both of her children in her work life from day one.  With 10 years of experience working with tech start-ups, Emily is now shifting her focus to support other busy moms trying to start and grow a business with little ones in tow.

Angelica Jackson

Tech Founder + Educator + Artist


Angelica Jackson is a tech founder, educator, artist, and a millennial #GirlMom to a 3-year-old named Phoenix. As the founder of Strata - an intelligent wellness scheduling system built for millennial moms and caregivers, she transforms the debilitating behavior of self-neglect through predictive technology, authentic community, and research. Her leadership has been featured in international publications like Black Enterprise and The Huffington Post. Angelica lives right outside of Washington, DC, US and is proud to be part of the founding team for an international arts school cultivating rural students into global artists and leaders.

Karla Briones

Karla Briones is a Mexican-Canadian serial entrepreneur with retail, food & beverage, franchise, online and consulting businesses. 


Her passion is to help aspiring entrepreneurs - particularly immigrants - build sustainable and scalable businesses through her Karla Briones Consulting team and the digital community, Immigrant Entrepreneur Academy, launching in April 2020. (date has been moved TBD due to, well, everything!)

Rebecca is a writer, speaker, and digital content creator. She's been blogging on her parenting website, A Little Bit of Momsense, since 2009 and for almost as many years has helped fellow bloggers and small business owners create and curate relevant, intentional digital content that helps them meet their goals and grow their business.  She's the proud mom of two, living in Ottawa, and is fueled by fiction and coffee.  

Brittany Stang

MLM Entrepreneur + Health & Fitness Coach


Brittany Stang is a Diamond level Beachbody Coach, wife, new momma to a six-month-old boy, horse trainer turned full-time stay at home mom and online Health & Fitness Coach with her business Unbridled Fitness. She’s known for her outgoing nature and has never met a stranger! Brittany resides in Tennessee just outside of Memphis.

Alyssa Cairns



After a career in higher education administration, followed by starting her own interior design business from home, Alyssa Cairns has lived every version of working-mom-life. She commuted to the city after dropping her infant daughter with a nanny, and then worked from home with a toddler and her second baby. The challenges of balancing work and motherhood led her to open momHIVE in Grand Rapids, Michigan in July 2019. Now, she manages momHIVE and is engaged with the local business community as an advocate for working mothers. When she's not working, you'll find her reading books with her kids Grace (8) and Gavin (4), or cooking up a storm with husband, Mark.

Jouella D'souza



Jouella D'souza is a wife, mom of two and the founder and owner of Baby Mama Hustle, A Parent+Tot Pop-Up market showcasing small businesses and momprenuers in Ottawa. 


After her youngest was born, Jouella decided that she wanted to do something of her own and to be her own boss. It began with party planning, making bows and everything in between! It was then that she realized that she admired what other small business owners did and wanted to create an environment where parents could shop locally without having to leave their kids at home. Thus, Baby Mama Hustle was created in an effort to bring local hardworking small business owners and momprenuers together in one room. 

Amanda DeGrace

Entrepreneur + Business Coach



Amanda DeGrace is a serial entrepreneur with over 18 years experience running her own businesses in the Health & Wellness industry.  Founder & Owner of Little Lotus Yoga Amanda supports families who are expecting and /or have young children as well as offering Teacher Training programs nationwide. Having presented at conferences across Canada she is a sought out business coach for other wellness professionals who are wanting to build a strong foundation in their business or to scale and grow. As a mom of 3 young children Amanda has a passion in helping women to build the businesses they desire while still creating the life they desire. Amanda has been featured in Today's Parent, Canadian Family, and is a local contributor to many CTV and Global morning shows.
